What is the best part of the daily grind known as school? Is it pretty classmates? MILF-y teachers? Learning to interact with fellow sacks of emotions known as human beings? Actual academic learning? Well, according to Sakura Lao, it’s all about enjoying the years of being young, wild, and free. You’ve got the rest of your postgrad days to be a frazzled mess worrying about real life, so you might as well make a few good memories to flashback to later on. Of course, we want you to do good in school, but it’s not a huge crime to slip out for an adventure occasionally, right?
You were very quiet during our shoot. Nervous? Ganun talaga ako, medyo mahiyain sa simula. We assume that’s because you’re new to this modeling gig? Yes, baguhan lang ako, mga one year pa lang ako nagmo-model–mostly events pa lang. May mga ibang magazine offers din, pero hindi ko nagagawa dahil busy kasi ako sa school–second year ako right now.
You’re perfect for our cutting-class theme today, we’d like to know if you really do that though…we won’t spill. Sometimes, ha ha! Siguro sa kaibigan ako na-i-influence. Pupunta lang kami sa mall, mga ganon.
Ever get caught? Meron na! Siguro yung pinakamemorable time is nung high school kami. Umakyat kami ng mga kaibigan ko sa pader nung school. Nahuli kami ng teacher namin kasi andun pala siya sa labas! As in, pag-landing naming andun siya nakatayo, ha ha!
Was this a co-ed escapade or girls behaving badly? Co-ed kami. Aakyat na rin dapat ako pero naunahan na ako makita nung teacher, ha ha! How do you charm your way out of a situation like that? Siguro, kindat na lang–ganun lang kaya ko, ha ha! .
Does this mean you are really a model student? Relax lang ako. Gusto ko kasi maenjoy yung pag-aaral ko–hindi yung hina-haggard yung sarili ko. Para ma-enjoy yung years in college di ba, hindi lang naghahabol ng grade.
And what’s there to look forward to in the summer? Yung mga trips na kasama ng family out of town. Not roadtripping with friends? Minsan oo, pero kadalasan family talaga kasama ko. Sa beach, sa mga may rides pa, ha ha!
And what is your stereotype in your friend group? Are you all modelesque? Meron ding mga model sa barkada ko, pero ako yung shy girl, ha ha! Shy girl na makulit! And what kind of guy gets your shy girl fancy? Pag malambing–kasi sobrang lambing ako, dun ako bumabawi, ha ha!
